About this role

Criminal Productions is looking for a temporary full-time Podcast Video & Social Media Producer to join our team. As a Podcast Video & Social Producer you will be responsible for creating video and social content for our digital platforms. This will range from producing long-form video interviews to short-form social media video clips. You will also create additional social content including image assets, stories/reels, and caption copy. You will work closely with the podcast producers and the podcast marketing team to reflect Criminal Productions’ voice, spirit, and brand. WHO WE ARE Criminal Productions is the home of the podcast Criminal - as well as the podcasts This is Love, Phoebe Reads a Mystery, and their newest podcast: Please Continue with Phoebe and Lauren. Criminal is one of the most-listened to podcasts in the United States, and has been called “the thinking person’s true crime podcast.” Founded in 2014, Criminal has been praised by the ACLU of New York, The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, and by the former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern. In 2018, the Criminal team launched This is Love. Time Magazine says, “The podcast tries to decode the mystery of how our romances, obsessions, and relationships drive us. Listening to it can feel like a contact high.” Phoebe Reads a Mystery features Criminal and This is Love host Phoebe Judge reading some of her favorite books in the public domain - from Sherlock Holmes to Little Women. Please Continue is our newest venture - an “unserious” chat show featuring Phoebe Judge and Criminal co-creator Lauren Spohrer in conversation about everything from offbeat crime stories to Costco shopping tips. One listener called their dynamic “comedy gold.” Criminal Productions is part of Vox Media. As a community of journalists and storytellers, business professionals, creators, and technologists, we believe it is a moral and business imperative to amplify voices: to cultivate diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our organization and media.
